Our "Older" Couples

Here in San Diego we have loved our weddings of couples who aren't getting married for the first time. Older couples who all have great stories to tell about how they met and fell in love. We've stood before couples who dated in High School but lost touch with each other after graduation...married other people and raised their families. Now they are single again and wonder, "What ever happened to...??"
We've enjoyed the stories of a number of people who thought that romance would never again be a part of their lives, but through dating websites, connected with the perfect person. And love bloomed! Our style of smaller, more affordable weddings are perfect for these couples. A sweet ceremony, some wonderful photos of them and their blended families, then off they go to a dinner celebration at a local restaurant. A Perfect Little Wedding!

Our new ad...

We're about to see our new ad published in the Seattle Bride Resource Guide! Here's the photo we're using with the text mentioning "Unexpected Little Surprises" changing priorities! Of course, this might indicate that a baby has arrived...or perhaps a couple has met again after years have gone by and their lives have now changed as a result. There are many reasons to get married, and just as many varieties of wedding styles.

Summer must come to an end somewhere, but not San Diego. Brother Kit and Carol came for a visit. They went to a couple of weddings, in Coronado and Del Mar and, of course, we went out for a couple of fabulous dinners. Here's a photo of Carol heading to the beautiful Conservatory in Balboa Park.

What a beautiful wedding weekend! We had two delightful weddings... a morning ceremony at Coronado for a nice young couple from Minnesota and then, the most beautiful sunset ceremony for Kari and Todd at Windansea. The tide was high and the surf was wild! Kari and Todd were a little reluctant to get to close to the edge of the rocks! Wonder why??

More about our San Diego summer... Although weddings and working on websites have kept us busy, I've still found time for some of my favorite things (yes, that means an occasional Martini!) I've had a great opportunity to photograph some cars. Our neighbors Jim and Donna own not only this 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 which we took down to Presidio Park one evening for a "portrait session" but also a lovely little MGB and a 1956 Thunderbird. We haven't seen the TBird yet as it is still being restored.
I've also been able to dig out some of my modeling tools and have built an HO Santa Fe caboose. Life can be good!!

A Perfect Little Wedding

August 26th

We've spent the summer performing wonderful wedding ceremonies and photographing couples on the beaches of San Diego. The weather here has been perfect ... its rained only once! We still have a number of ceremonies through September and October before we pack up and move back home to Seattle in November.

We've spent the last couple of weeks developing our new website www.aPerfectLittleWedding.com which we're directing to the Seattle area, hoping to take what we've learned here in San Diego about putting together Perfect Little Wedding Packages for the couples who don't plan on spending a ton of money on the Big Bash Wedding!
